Isaiah 27:6

³¹The remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah will again take root downward, and bear fruit upward.

⁵I will be like the dew to Israel. He will blossom like the lily, and send down his roots like Lebanon. ⁶His branches will spread, and his beauty will be like the olive tree, and his fragrance like Lebanon.

¹⁶If the first fruit is holy, so is the lump. If the root is holy, so are the branches. ¹⁷But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive, were grafted in among them and became partaker with them of the root and of the richness of the olive tree, ¹⁸don’t boast over the branches. But if you boast, remember that it is not you who support the root, but the root supports you. ¹⁹You will say then, “Branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in.” ²⁰True; by their unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by your faith. Don’t be conceited, but fear; ²¹for if God didn’t spare the natural branches, neither will he spare you. ²²See then the goodness and severity of God. Toward those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in his goodness; otherwise you also will be cut off. ²³They also, if they don’t continue in their unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. ²⁴For if you were cut out of that which is by nature a wild olive tree, and were grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree, how much more will these, which are the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?

²⁵For I don’t desire you to be ignorant, brothers,^[+] of this mystery, so that you won’t be wise in your own conceits, that a partial hardening has happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in, ²⁶and so all Israel will be saved. Even as it is written, “There will come out of Zion the Deliverer, and he will turn away ungodliness from Jacob.

²³I will sow her to me in the earth; and I will have mercy on her who had not obtained mercy; and I will tell those who were not my people, ‘You are my people;’ and they will say, ‘You are My God!’”

¹“Sing, barren, you who didn’t give birth! Break out into singing, and cry aloud, you who didn’t travail with child! For more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife,” says the LORD. ²“Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of your habitations; don’t spare; lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes. ³For you will spread out on the right hand and on the left; and your offspring will possess the nations and settle in desolate cities.

¹¹Many nations shall join themselves to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people; and I will dwell among you, and you shall know that the LORD of Armies has sent me to you.

¹³They are planted in the LORD’s house. They will flourish in our God’s courts. ¹⁴They will still produce fruit in old age. They will be full of sap and green, ¹⁵to show that the LORD is upright. He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

⁸I will signal for them and gather them, for I have redeemed them. They will increase as they were before. ⁹I will sow them among the peoples. They will remember me in far countries. They will live with their children and will return.

²²The little one will become a thousand, and the small one a strong nation. I, the LORD, will do this quickly in its time.”

¹⁹Thanksgiving will proceed out of them with the voice of those who make merry. I will multiply them, and they will not be few; I will also glorify them, and they will not be small.
