Then they will loathe themselves in their own sight for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations. 10They will know that I am the LORD. I have not said in vain that I would do this evil to them.”’

Don’t let your eye spare, neither have pity. 6Kill utterly the old man, the young man, the virgin, little children and women; but don’t come near any man on whom is the mark. Begin at my sanctuary.” Then they began at the old men who were before the house.

Revelation 11:2-3

2Leave out the court which is outside of the temple, and don’t measure it, for it has been given to the nations. They will tread the holy city under foot for forty-two months. 3I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.”

Romans 11:2-6

2God didn’t reject his people, whom he foreknew. Or don’t you know what the Scripture says about Elijah? How he pleads with God against Israel: 3Lord, they have killed your prophets. They have broken down your altars. I am left alone, and they seek my life.”4But how does God answer him? “I have reserved for myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.”5Even so too at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. 6And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work.
