Hebrews 7:26

²¹For him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

²²who didn’t sin, “neither was deceit found in his mouth.”

¹⁴Having then a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let’s hold tightly to our confession. ¹⁵For we don’t have a high priest who can’t be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but one who has been in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin.

¹Now in the things which we are saying, the main point is this: we have such a high priest, who sat down on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens,

²And he is the atoning sacrifice^[+] for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the whole world.

³His Son is the radiance of his glory, the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, who, when he had by himself purified us of our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high,

¹⁴how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without defect to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

²looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

⁴¹And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward for our deeds, but this man has done nothing wrong.”

⁸Therefore he says, “When he ascended on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts to people.”

⁹Now this, “He ascended”, what is it but that he also first descended into the lower parts of the earth? ¹⁰He who descended is the one who also ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.
