Hebrews 4:10

¹³I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write, ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, for their works follow with them.”

³For we who have believed do enter into that rest, even as he has said, “As I swore in my wrath, they will not enter into my rest;”although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. ⁴For he has said this somewhere about the seventh day, “God rested on the seventh day from all his works;”

¹Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind; for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, ²that you no longer should live the rest of your time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.

³⁰When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

¹²but he, when he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God,

³His Son is the radiance of his glory, the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, who, when he had by himself purified us of our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high,
