Genesis 8:2

¹¹In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep burst open, and the sky’s windows opened.

²⁶He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then he got up, rebuked the wind and the sea, and there was a great calm.

²⁷The men marveled, saying, “What kind of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”

²⁸when he established the clouds above, when the springs of the deep became strong,

⁹For I am also a man under authority, having under myself soldiers. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and tell another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and tell my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”

¹¹Yes, he loads the thick cloud with moisture. He spreads abroad the cloud of his lightning. ¹²It is turned around by his guidance, that they may do whatever he commands them on the surface of the habitable world, ¹³whether it is for correction, or for his land, or for loving kindness, that he causes it to come.

³For you threw me into the depths, in the heart of the seas. The flood was all around me. All your waves and your billows passed over me.

³⁷Who can count the clouds by wisdom? Or who can pour out the containers of the sky,
