Genesis 27:42

¹⁴who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the perverseness of evil,

¹⁸They saw him afar off, and before he came near to them, they conspired against him to kill him. ¹⁹They said to one another, “Behold, this dreamer comes. ²⁰Come now therefore, and let’s kill him, and cast him into one of the pits, and we will say, ‘An evil animal has devoured him.’ We will see what will become of his dreams.”

²¹They said to one another, “We are certainly guilty concerning our brother, in that we saw the distress of his soul, when he begged us, and we wouldn’t listen. Therefore this distress has come upon us.” ²²Reuben answered them, saying, “Didn’t I tell you, saying, ‘Don’t sin against the child,’ and you wouldn’t listen? Therefore also, behold, his blood is required.”

¹²“Though wickedness is sweet in his mouth, though he hide it under his tongue, ¹³though he spare it, and will not let it go, but keep it still within his mouth, ¹⁴yet his food in his bowels is turned. It is cobra venom within him.

¹⁶For they don’t sleep unless they do evil. Their sleep is taken away, unless they make someone fall. ¹⁷For they eat the bread of wickedness and drink the wine of violence.
