Genesis 26:5

²⁴“Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock.

¹⁸All the nations of the earth will be blessed by your offspring, because you have obeyed my voice.’”

¹⁶and said, “‘I have sworn by myself,’ says the LORD, ‘because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son,

¹Praise the LORD!Blessed ^[+] is the man who fears the LORD,^[+] who delights greatly in his commandments. ²His offspring will be mighty in the land. The generation of the upright will be blessed.

²¹Wasn’t Abraham our father justified by works, in that he offered up Isaac his son on the altar?

⁸By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed to go out to the place which he was to receive for an inheritance. He went out, not knowing where he went.

⁶For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision amounts to anything, but faith working through love.

¹Blessed is everyone who fears the LORD, who walks in his ways. ²For you will eat the labor of your hands. You will be happy, and it will be well with you. ³Your wife will be as a fruitful vine in the innermost parts of your house, your children like olive shoots around your table. ⁴Behold, this is how the man who fears the LORD is blessed. ⁵May the LORD bless you out of Zion, and may you see the good of Jerusalem all the days of your life. ⁶Yes, may you see your children’s children. Peace be upon Israel.

⁵⁸Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the Lord’s work, because you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

⁴So Abram went, as the LORD had told him. Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.
