Genesis 24:22

¹¹I decked you with ornaments, put bracelets on your hands, and put a chain on your neck. ¹²I put a ring on your nose, earrings in your ears, and a beautiful crown on your head.

²Aaron said to them, “Take off the golden rings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring them to me.”

³All the people took off the golden rings which were in their ears, and brought them to Aaron.

⁴⁷I asked her, and said, ‘Whose daughter are you?’ She said, ‘The daughter of Bethuel, Nahor’s son, whom Milcah bore to him.’ I put the ring on her nose, and the bracelets on her hands.

³²“Can a virgin forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? Yet my people have forgotten me for days without number.

³⁰When he saw the ring, and the bracelets on his sister’s hands, and when he heard the words of Rebekah his sister, saying, “This is what the man said to me,” he came to the man. Behold, he was standing by the camels at the spring.

¹⁵“My lord, listen to me. What is a piece of land worth four hundred shekels of silver^[+] me and you? Therefore bury your dead.”

¹⁶Abraham listened to Ephron. Abraham weighed to Ephron the silver which he had named in the hearing of the children of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, according to the current merchants’ standard.
