Genesis 19:13

²⁰The LORD said, “Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous,

¹I heard a loud voice out of the temple, saying to the seven angels, “Go and pour out the seven bowls of the wrath of God on the earth!”

²The first went, and poured out his bowl into the earth, and it became a harmful and painful sore on the people who had the mark of the beast, and who worshiped his image.

³The second angel poured out his bowl into the sea, and it became blood as of a dead man. Every living thing in the sea died.

⁴The third poured out his bowl into the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood. ⁵I heard the angel of the waters saying, “You are righteous, who are and who were, O Holy One, because you have judged these things. ⁶For they poured out the blood of saints and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink. They deserve this.”

⁷I heard the altar saying, “Yes, Lord God, the Almighty, true and righteous are your judgments.”

⁸The fourth poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was given to him to scorch men with fire. ⁹People were scorched with great heat, and people blasphemed the name of God who has the power over these plagues. They didn’t repent and give him glory.

¹⁰The fifth poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom was darkened. They gnawed their tongues because of the pain, ¹¹and they blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores. They still didn’t repent of their works.

¹²The sixth poured out his bowl on the great river, the Euphrates. Its water was dried up, that the way might be prepared for the kings that come from the sunrise.

⁴⁹So it will be in the end of the world.^[+] The angels will come and separate the wicked from among the righteous, ⁵⁰and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

²³Immediately an angel of the Lord struck him, because he didn’t give God the glory. Then he was eaten by worms and died.

⁷Even as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, having in the same way as these given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are shown as an example, suffering the punishment of eternal fire.

⁴Behold, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you have kept back by fraud, cry out; and the cries of those who reaped have entered into the ears of the Lord of Armies.

⁸Why not (as we are slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say), “Let’s do evil, that good may come?” Those who say so are justly condemned.

⁹What then? Are we better than they? No, in no way. For we previously warned both Jews and Greeks that they are all under sin.

⁴¹The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will gather out of his Kingdom all things that cause stumbling and those who do iniquity, ⁴²and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

¹⁵God sent an angel to Jerusalem to destroy it. As he was about to destroy, the LORD saw, and he relented of the disaster, and said to the destroying angel, “It is enough. Now withdraw your hand.” the LORD’s angel was standing by the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite. ¹⁶David lifted up his eyes, and saw the LORD’s angel standing between earth and the sky, having a drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Jerusalem. Then David and the elders, clothed in sackcloth, fell on their faces.

¹³Now the men of Sodom were exceedingly wicked and sinners against the LORD.
