Genesis 12:7

⁸I will give to you, and to your offspring after you, the land where you are traveling, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession. I will be their God.”

¹⁵for I will give all the land which you see to you and to your offspring forever.

¹⁶Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his offspring.^[+] He doesn’t say, “To descendants^[+] as of many, but as of one, “To your offspring”,which is Christ.

¹The LORD appeared to him by the oaks of Mamre, as he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day.

¹When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am God Almighty. Walk before me and be blameless.

⁴to the place of the altar, which he had made there at the first. There Abram called on the LORD’s name.

⁹the covenant which he made with Abraham, his oath to Isaac, ¹⁰and confirmed it to Jacob for a statute; to Israel for an everlasting covenant, ¹¹saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance,” ¹²when they were but a few men in number, yes, very few, and foreigners in it.

¹⁸Abram moved his tent, and came and lived by the oaks of Mamre, which are in Hebron, and built an altar there to the LORD.

²⁵He built an altar there, and called on the LORD’s name, and pitched his tent there. There Isaac’s servants dug a well.

¹The LORD spoke to Moses, “Depart, go up from here, you and the people that you have brought up out of the land of Egypt, to the land of which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, ‘I will give it to your offspring.’
