Ezra 7:17

⁵But to the place which the LORD your God shall choose out of all your tribes, to put his name there, you shall seek his habitation, and you shall come there. ⁶You shall bring your burnt offerings, your sacrifices, your tithes, the wave offering of your hand, your vows, your free will offerings, and the firstborn of your herd and of your flock there. ⁷There you shall eat before the LORD your God, and you shall rejoice in all that you put your hand to, you and your households, in which the LORD your God has blessed you. ⁸You shall not do all the things that we do here today, every man whatever is right in his own eyes; ⁹for you haven’t yet come to the rest and to the inheritance which the LORD your God gives you. ¹⁰But when you go over the Jordan and dwell in the land which the LORD your God causes you to inherit, and he gives you rest from all your enemies around you, so that you dwell in safety, ¹¹then it shall happen that to the place which the LORD your God shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there, there you shall bring all that I command you: your burnt offerings, your sacrifices, your tithes, the wave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which you vow to the LORD.

⁹That which they have need of, including young bulls, rams, and lambs, for burnt offerings to the God of heaven; also wheat, salt, wine, and oil, according to the word of the priests who are at Jerusalem, let it be given them day by day without fail, ¹⁰that they may offer sacrifices of pleasant aroma to the God of heaven, and pray for the life of the king and of his sons.

⁴then he who offers his offering shall offer to the LORD a meal offering of one tenth of an ephah^[+] of fine flour mixed with one fourth of a hin^[+] of oil. ⁵You shall prepare wine for the drink offering, one fourth of a hin, with the burnt offering or for the sacrifice, for each lamb.

⁶“‘For a ram, you shall prepare for a meal offering two tenths of an ephah^[+] of fine flour mixed with the third part of a hin of oil; ⁷and for the drink offering you shall offer the third part of a hin of wine, of a pleasant aroma to the LORD. ⁸When you prepare a bull for a burnt offering or for a sacrifice, to accomplish a vow, or for peace offerings to the LORD, ⁹then he shall offer with the bull a meal offering of three tenths of an ephah^[+] of fine flour mixed with half a hin of oil; ¹⁰and you shall offer for the drink offering half a hin of wine, for an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to the LORD. ¹¹Thus it shall be done for each bull, for each ram, for each of the male lambs, or of the young goats. ¹²According to the number that you shall prepare, so you shall do to everyone according to their number.

¹³“‘All who are native-born shall do these things in this way, in offering an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to the LORD.

¹⁴He found in the temple those who sold oxen, sheep, and doves, and the changers of money sitting.

²⁴If the way is too long for you, so that you are not able to carry it because the place which the LORD your God shall choose to set his name there is too far from you, when the LORD your God blesses you, ²⁵then you shall turn it into money, bind up the money in your hand, and shall go to the place which the LORD your God shall choose. ²⁶You shall trade the money for whatever your soul desires: for cattle, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatever your soul asks of you. You shall eat there before the LORD your God, and you shall rejoice, you and your household.

¹²Jesus entered into the temple of God and drove out all of those who sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the money changers’ tables and the seats of those who sold the doves. ¹³He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’but you have made it a den of robbers!”
