Ezekiel 18:16

⁷and has not wronged any, but has restored to the debtor his pledge, has taken nothing by robbery, has given his bread to the hungry, and has covered the naked with a garment;

¹Cast your bread on the waters; for you shall find it after many days. ²Give a portion to seven, yes, even to eight; for you don’t know what evil will be on the earth.

²⁰She opens her arms to the poor; yes, she extends her hands to the needy.

¹³But when you make a feast, ask the poor, the maimed, the lame, or the blind;

⁹He who has a generous eye will be blessed, for he shares his food with the poor.

²¹If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat. If he is thirsty, give him water to drink;

⁷Isn’t it to distribute your bread to the hungry, and that you bring the poor who are cast out to your house? When you see the naked, that you cover him; and that you not hide yourself from your own flesh? ⁸Then your light will break out as the morning, and your healing will appear quickly; then your righteousness shall go before you, and the LORD’s glory will be your rear guard. ⁹Then you will call, and the LORD will answer. You will cry for help, and he will say, ‘Here I am.’ “If you take away from among you the yoke, finger pointing, and speaking wickedly; ¹⁰and if you pour out your soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul, then your light will rise in darkness, and your obscurity will be as the noonday;

⁷You haven’t given water to the weary to drink, and you have withheld bread from the hungry.

¹⁹if I have seen any perish for want of clothing, or that the needy had no covering;

⁴¹But give for gifts to the needy those things which are within, and behold, all things will be clean to you.
