Ezekiel 17:5

⁷For the LORD your God brings you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of springs, and underground water flowing into valleys and hills; ⁸a land of wheat, barley, vines, fig trees, and pomegranates; a land of olive trees and honey; ⁹a land in which you shall eat bread without scarcity, you shall not lack anything in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills you may dig copper.

⁴and they will spring up among the grass, as willows by the watercourses.

¹¹It had strong branches for the scepters of those who ruled. Their stature was exalted among the thick boughs. They were seen in their height with the multitude of their branches. ¹²But it was plucked up in fury. It was cast down to the ground, and the east wind dried up its fruit. Its strong branches were broken off and withered. The fire consumed them.

¹⁷The king of Babylon made Mattaniah, Jehoiachin’s father’s brother, king in his place, and changed his name to Zedekiah.

¹Zedekiah the son of Josiah reigned as king instead of Coniah the son of Jehoiakim, whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon made king in the land of Judah.

⁷Therefore they will carry away the abundance they have gotten, and that which they have stored up, over the brook of the willows.

¹³He took one of the royal offspring,^[+] and made a covenant with him. He also brought him under an oath, and took away the mighty of the land,
