Exodus 22:21

⁹“You shall not oppress an alien, for you know the heart of an alien, since you were aliens in the land of Egypt.

¹⁹Therefore love the foreigner, for you were foreigners in the land of Egypt.

³³“‘If a stranger lives as a foreigner with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong.

¹⁰Don’t oppress the widow, the fatherless, the foreigner, nor the poor; and let none of you devise evil against his brother in your heart.’

³⁵“‘If your brother has become poor, and his hand can’t support himself among you, then you shall uphold him. He shall live with you like an alien and a temporary resident.

⁷You shall not abhor an Edomite, for he is your brother. You shall not abhor an Egyptian, because you lived as a foreigner in his land.

⁶if you don’t oppress the foreigner, the fatherless, and the widow, and don’t shed innocent blood in this place, and don’t walk after other gods to your own hurt,

²“I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

⁵I will come near to you to judgment. I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, against the adulterers, against the perjurers, and against those who oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and who deprive the foreigner of justice, and don’t fear me,” says the LORD of Armies.

¹⁵You shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the LORD your God redeemed you. Therefore I command you this thing today.
