Exodus 2:24

³Live in this land, and I will be with you, and will bless you. For I will give to you, and to your offspring, all these lands, and I will establish the oath which I swore to Abraham your father.

⁴²For he remembered his holy word, and Abraham, his servant.

⁵Moreover I have heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage, and I have remembered my covenant.

¹⁴I will also judge that nation, whom they will serve. Afterward they will come out with great wealth; ¹⁵but you will go to your fathers in peace. You will be buried at a good old age. ¹⁶In the fourth generation they will come here again, for the iniquity of the Amorite is not yet full.” ¹⁷It came to pass that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold, a smoking furnace and a flaming torch passed between these pieces. ¹⁸In that day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, “I have given this land to your offspring, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates:

²⁰to hear the groans of the prisoner, to free those who are condemned to death,

²⁴For he has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted, neither has he hidden his face from him; but when he cried to him, he heard.

²⁴The LORD appeared to him the same night, and said, “I am the God of Abraham your father. Don’t be afraid, for I am with you, and will bless you, and multiply your offspring for my servant Abraham’s sake.”

³In the day that I called, you answered me. You encouraged me with strength in my soul.

⁴⁵He remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses.

⁷²to show mercy toward our fathers, to remember his holy covenant, ⁷³the oath which he swore to Abraham our father,
