Exodus 12:22

⁷Purify me with hyssop, and I will be clean. Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.

¹⁸A clean person shall take hyssop, dip it in the water, and sprinkle it on the tent, on all the vessels, on the persons who were there, and on him who touched the bone, or the slain, or the dead, or the grave.

²⁸By faith he kept the Passover and the sprinkling of the blood, that the destroyer of the firstborn should not touch them.

¹Now indeed even the first^[+] had ordinances of divine service and an earthly sanctuary.

¹⁴how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without defect to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

⁷They shall take some of the blood, and put it on the two door posts and on the lintel, on the houses in which they shall eat it.

¹⁹For when every commandment had been spoken by Moses to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of the calves and the goats, with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people,

⁶As for the living bird, he shall take it, the cedar wood, the scarlet, and the hyssop, and shall dip them and the living bird in the blood of the bird that was killed over the running water. ⁷He shall sprinkle on him who is to be cleansed from the leprosy seven times, and shall pronounce him clean, and shall let the living bird go into the open field.

³⁰When they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

²⁴to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant,and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better than that of Abel.
