Ephesians 6:1

²⁰Children, obey your parents in all things, for this pleases the Lord.

²¹Fathers, don’t provoke your children, so that they won’t be discouraged.

²²Servants, obey in all things those who are your masters according to the flesh, not just when they are looking, as men pleasers, but in singleness of heart, fearing God. ²³And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, ²⁴knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ. ²⁵But he who does wrong will receive again for the wrong that he has done, and there is no partiality.

²²Listen to your father who gave you life, and don’t despise your mother when she is old.

²⁰My son, keep your father’s commandment, and don’t forsake your mother’s teaching.

⁸My son, listen to your father’s instruction, and don’t forsake your mother’s teaching;

¹⁶Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord.

¹⁷Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

¹⁸If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who will not obey the voice of his father or the voice of his mother, and though they chasten him, will not listen to them,

²Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.

³“‘Each one of you shall respect his mother and his father. You shall keep my Sabbaths. I am the LORD your God.

⁴But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them learn first to show piety toward their own family and to repay their parents, for this is^[+] in the sight of God.

⁵Servants, be obedient to those who according to the flesh are your masters, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as to Christ, ⁶not in the way of service only when eyes are on you, as men pleasers, but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart,
