Ephesians 1:9

²⁶the mystery which has been hidden for ages and generations. But now it has been revealed to his saints, ²⁷to whom God was pleased to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. ²⁸We proclaim him, admonishing every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus;

³how that by revelation the mystery was made known to me, as I wrote before in few words, ⁴by which, when you read, you can perceive my understanding in the mystery of Christ, ⁵which in other generations was not made known to the children of men, as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit, ⁶that the Gentiles are fellow heirs and fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of his promise in Christ Jesus through the Good News, ⁷of which I was made a servant according to the gift of that grace of God which was given me according to the working of his power. ⁸To me, the very least of all saints, was this grace given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, ⁹and to make all men see what is the administration^[+] of the mystery which for ages has been hidden in God, who created all things through Jesus Christ,

⁹who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before times eternal,

¹¹We were also assigned an inheritance in him, having been foreordained according to the purpose of him who does all things after the counsel of his will,

¹¹according to the eternal purpose which he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.

²⁸We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose.

¹²For I didn’t receive it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came to me through revelation of Jesus Christ.

¹⁰But to us, God revealed them through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. ¹¹For who among men knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so, no one knows the things of God except God’s Spirit. ¹²But we received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God, that we might know the things that were freely given to us by God.

¹⁶Without controversy, the mystery of godliness is great: God^[+] was revealed in the flesh, justified in the spirit, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, and received up in glory.
