Ecclesiastes 9:17

¹⁷But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. ¹⁸Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

²³One who rebukes a man will afterward find more favor than one who flatters with the tongue.

²⁰for the anger of man doesn’t produce the righteousness of God.

²He will not shout, nor raise his voice, nor cause it to be heard in the street.

³Samuel spoke to all the house of Israel, saying, “If you are returning to the LORD with all your heart, then put away the foreign gods and the Ashtaroth from among you, and direct your hearts to the LORD, and serve him only; and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.” ⁴Then the children of Israel removed the Baals and the Ashtaroth, and served the LORD only. ⁵Samuel said, “Gather all Israel to Mizpah, and I will pray to the LORD for you.” ⁶They gathered together to Mizpah, and drew water, and poured it out before the LORD, and fasted on that day, and said there, “We have sinned against the LORD.” Samuel judged the children of Israel in Mizpah.

³³“Now therefore let Pharaoh look for a discreet and wise man, and set him over the land of Egypt. ³⁴Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint overseers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt’s produce in the seven plenteous years. ³⁵Let them gather all the food of these good years that come, and store grain under the hand of Pharaoh for food in the cities, and let them keep it. ³⁶The food will be to supply the land against the seven years of famine, which will be in the land of Egypt; so that the land will not perish through the famine.”

³⁷The thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants. ³⁸Pharaoh said to his servants, “Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the Spirit of God?” ³⁹Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Because God has shown you all of this, there is no one so discreet and wise as you. ⁴⁰You shall be over my house. All my people will be ruled according to your word. Only in the throne I will be greater than you.”

⁴He will not fail nor be discouraged, until he has set justice in the earth, and the islands wait for his law.”
