Deuteronomy 32:19

⁴⁰Therefore the LORD burned with anger against his people. He abhorred his inheritance.

¹⁴The LORD’s anger burned against Israel, and he delivered them into the hands of raiders who plundered them. He sold them into the hands of their enemies all around, so that they could no longer stand before their enemies.

⁴For you are not a God who has pleasure in wickedness. Evil can’t live with you.

²Hear, heavens, and listen, earth; for the LORD ^[+] has spoken: “I have nourished and brought up children and they have rebelled against me.

¹¹I will set my tent among you, and my soul won’t abhor you.

⁶I said, “You are gods, all of you are sons of the Most High. ⁷Nevertheless you shall die like men, and fall like one of the rulers.”

²¹“The incense that you burned in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, you and your fathers, your kings and your princes, and the people of the land, didn’t the LORD remember them, and didn’t it come into his mind? ²²Thus the LORD could no longer bear it, because of the evil of your doings and because of the abominations which you have committed. Therefore your land has become a desolation, an astonishment, and a curse, without inhabitant, as it is today. ²³Because you have burned incense and because you have sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed the LORD’s voice, nor walked in his law, nor in his statutes, nor in his testimonies; therefore this evil has happened to you, as it is today.”

⁶He has violently taken away his tabernacle, as if it were a garden. He has destroyed his place of assembly. The LORD has caused solemn assembly and Sabbath to be forgotten in Zion. In the indignation of his anger, he has despised the king and the priest.

²“I have only chosen you of all the families of the earth. Therefore I will punish you for all of your sins.” ³Do two walk together, unless they have agreed?

¹⁶So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will vomit you out of my mouth.
