Deuteronomy 19:15

³⁰“‘Whoever kills any person, the murderer shall be slain based on the testimony of witnesses; but one witness shall not testify alone against any person so that he dies.

¹This is the third time I am coming to you. “At the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.”

⁶At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, he who is to die shall be put to death. At the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to death.

²⁸A man who disregards Moses’ law dies without compassion on the word of two or three witnesses.

¹⁶But if he doesn’t listen, take one or two more with you, that at the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.

¹⁷It’s also written in your law that the testimony of two people is valid.

¹⁹Don’t receive an accusation against an elder except at the word of two or three witnesses.

³I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.”

⁴These are the two olive trees and the two lamp stands, standing before the Lord of the earth. ⁵If anyone desires to harm them, fire proceeds out of their mouth and devours their enemies. If anyone desires to harm them, he must be killed in this way. ⁶These have the power to shut up the sky, that it may not rain during the days of their prophecy. They have power over the waters, to turn them into blood, and to strike the earth with every plague, as often as they desire.

⁷When they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up out of the abyss will make war with them, and overcome them, and kill them.

⁶⁰and they found none. Even though many false witnesses came forward, they found none. But at last two false witnesses came forward ⁶¹and said, “This man said, ‘I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.’”

¹⁰Set two men, wicked fellows, before him, and let them testify against him, saying, ‘You cursed God and the king!’ Then carry him out, and stone him to death.”
