Daniel 9:5

⁷From the days of your fathers you have turned away from my ordinances and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you,” says the LORD of Armies. “But you say, ‘How shall we return?’

¹¹Yes, all Israel have transgressed your law, turning aside, that they should not obey your voice. “Therefore the curse and the oath written in the law of Moses the servant of God has been poured out on us, for we have sinned against him.

¹⁵“Now, Lord our God, who has brought your people out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and have gotten yourself renown, as it is today, we have sinned. We have done wickedly.

⁶We have sinned with our fathers. We have committed iniquity. We have done wickedly.

²¹For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.

⁵You meet him who rejoices and does righteousness, those who remember you in your ways. Behold, you were angry, and we sinned. We have been in sin for a long time. Shall we be saved? ⁶For we have all become like one who is unclean, and all our righteousness is like a polluted garment. We all fade like a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away. ⁷There is no one who calls on your name, who stirs himself up to take hold of you; for you have hidden your face from us, and have consumed us by means of our iniquities.

¹²Beware, brothers, lest perhaps there might be in any one of you an evil heart of unbelief, in falling away from the living God;

⁷Though our iniquities testify against us, work for your name’s sake, LORD; for our rebellions are many. We have sinned against you.

²⁰“Look, LORD; for I am in distress. My heart is troubled. My heart turns over within me, for I have grievously rebelled. Abroad, the sword bereaves. At home, it is like death.

¹⁰²I have not turned away from your ordinances, for you have taught me.
