Colossians 2:1

²⁹for which I also labor, striving according to his working, which works in me mightily.

³⁰having the same conflict which you saw in me and now hear is in me.

¹⁴“To the angel of the assembly in Laodicea write: “The Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning^[+] of God’s creation, says these things:

¹⁵“I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were cold or hot. ¹⁶So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will vomit you out of my mouth. ¹⁷Because you say, ‘I am rich, and have gotten riches, and have need of nothing,’ and don’t know that you are the wretched one, miserable, poor, blind, and naked; ¹⁸I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, that you may become rich; and white garments, that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes, that you may see. ¹⁹As many as I love, I reprove and chasten. Be zealous therefore, and repent. ²⁰Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, then I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with me. ²¹He who overcomes, I will give to him to sit down with me on my throne, as I also overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne. ²²He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies.”

¹²Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, salutes you, always striving for you in his prayers, that you may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God. ¹³For I testify about him that he has great zeal for you, and for those in Laodicea, and for those in Hierapolis.

¹¹saying,“^[+] What you see, write in a book and send to the seven assemblies:^[+] to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.”

²⁴Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and fill up on my part that which is lacking of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body’s sake, which is the assembly,

³In the womb he took his brother by the heel, and in his manhood he contended with God. ⁴Indeed, he struggled with the angel, and prevailed; he wept, and made supplication to him. He found him at Bethel, and there he spoke with us—

³⁸sorrowing most of all because of the word which he had spoken, that they should see his face no more. Then they accompanied him to the ship.

⁸whom, not having known, you love. In him, though now you don’t see him, yet believing, you rejoice greatly with joy that is unspeakable and full of glory,

⁴⁴Being in agony, he prayed more earnestly. His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down on the ground.
