Acts 5:14

⁴⁷praising God and having favor with all the people. The Lord added to the assembly day by day those who were being saved.

⁴But many of those who heard the word believed, and the number of the men came to be about five thousand.

¹¹so is my word that goes out of my mouth: it will not return to me void, but it will accomplish that which I please, and it will prosper in the thing I sent it to do. ¹²For you shall go out with joy, and be led out with peace. The mountains and the hills will break out before you into singing; and all the trees of the fields will clap their hands. ¹³Instead of the thorn the cypress tree will come up; and instead of the brier the myrtle tree will come up. It will make a name for the LORD, for an everlasting sign that will not be cut off.”

³¹So the assemblies throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace and were built up. They were multiplied, walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit.

⁷The word of God increased and the number of the disciples greatly multiplied in Jerusalem. A great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.

¹Now while Ezra prayed and made confession, weeping and casting himself down before God’s house, there was gathered together to him out of Israel a very great assembly of men and women and children; for the people wept very bitterly.

⁴²This became known throughout all Joppa, and many believed in the Lord.

³⁵All who lived at Lydda and in Sharon saw him, and they turned to the Lord.

⁴¹Then those who gladly received his word were baptized. There were added that day about three thousand souls.

¹²But when they believed Philip preaching good news concerning God’s Kingdom and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
