Acts 12:7

¹⁹But an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors by night, and brought them out and said,

²⁶Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone’s bonds were loosened.

⁷who executes justice for the oppressed; who gives food to the hungry. The LORD frees the prisoners.

¹⁸They bruised his feet with shackles. His neck was locked in irons, ¹⁹until the time that his word happened, and the LORD’s word proved him true. ²⁰The king sent and freed him, even the ruler of peoples, and let him go free.

⁶Listen to my cry, for I am in desperate need. Deliver me from my persecutors, for they are too strong for me. ⁷Bring my soul out of prison, that I may give thanks to your name. The righteous will surround me, for you will be good to me.

¹⁵When the morning came, then the angels hurried Lot, saying, “Get up! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, lest you be consumed in the iniquity of the city.” ¹⁶But he lingered; and the men grabbed his hand, his wife’s hand, and his two daughters’ hands, the LORD being merciful to him; and they took him out, and set him outside of the city.

²³For there stood by me this night an angel, belonging to the God whose I am and whom I serve, ²⁴saying, ‘Don’t be afraid, Paul. You must stand before Caesar. Behold, God has granted you all those who sail with you.’

¹⁴He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke away their chains.

⁷The LORD’s angel encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them.

³⁰Cornelius said, “Four days ago, I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour,^[+] I prayed in my house, and behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing
