Acts 12:24

⁷The word of God increased and the number of the disciples greatly multiplied in Jerusalem. A great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.

¹Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may spread rapidly and be glorified, even as also with you,

^20[+] So the word of the Lord was growing and becoming mighty.

¹⁸I also tell you that you are Peter,^[+] and on this rock ^[+] I will build my assembly, and the gates of Hades^[+] will not prevail against it.

²¹The hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number believed and turned to the Lord.

⁶which has come to you, even as it is in all the world and is bearing fruit and growing, as it does in you also, since the day you heard and knew the grace of God in truth,

¹⁰Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. ¹¹Behold, all those who are incensed against you will be disappointed and confounded. Those who strive with you will be like nothing, and shall perish. ¹²You will seek them, and won’t find them, even those who contend with you. Those who war against you will be as nothing, as a nonexistent thing. ¹³For I, the LORD your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, ‘Don’t be afraid. I will help you.’

¹⁴You will be established in righteousness. You will be far from oppression, for you will not be afraid, and far from terror, for it shall not come near you. ¹⁵Behold, they may gather together, but not by me. Whoever gathers together against you will fall because of you. ¹⁶“Behold, I have created the blacksmith who fans the coals into flame, and forges a weapon for his work; and I have created the destroyer to destroy. ¹⁷No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the LORD’s servants, and their righteousness is of me,” says the LORD.

³⁹But if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow it, and you would be found even to be fighting against God!”

⁴⁴“In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which will never be destroyed, nor will its sovereignty be left to another people; but it will break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it will stand forever.
