2 Samuel 19:32

²There was a man in Maon whose possessions were in Carmel; and the man was very great. He had three thousand sheep and a thousand goats; and he was shearing his sheep in Carmel.

⁷Moses was one hundred twenty years old when he died. His eye was not dim, nor his strength gone.

³¹Gray hair is a crown of glory. It is attained by a life of righteousness.

³His possessions also were seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen, five hundred female donkeys, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the children of the east.

²⁷All the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty-nine years, then he died.

⁷These are the days of the years of Abraham’s life which he lived: one hundred seventy-five years.

²⁹All the days of Noah were nine hundred fifty years, and then he died.

²⁸Jacob lived in the land of Egypt seventeen years. So the days of Jacob, the years of his life, were one hundred forty-seven years.

³You turn man to destruction, saying, “Return, you children of men.” ⁴For a thousand years in your sight are just like yesterday when it is past, like a watch in the night. ⁵You sweep them away as they sleep. In the morning they sprout like new grass. ⁶In the morning it sprouts and springs up. By evening, it is withered and dry. ⁷For we are consumed in your anger. We are troubled in your wrath. ⁸You have set our iniquities before you, our secret sins in the light of your presence. ⁹For all our days have passed away in your wrath. We bring our years to an end as a sigh. ¹⁰The days of our years are seventy, or even by reason of strength eighty years; yet their pride is but labor and sorrow, for it passes quickly, and we fly away.

²⁷When David had come to Mahanaim, Shobi the son of Nahash of Rabbah of the children of Ammon, and Machir the son of Ammiel of Lodebar, and Barzillai the Gileadite of Rogelim, ²⁸brought beds, basins, earthen vessels, wheat, barley, meal, parched grain, beans, lentils, roasted grain, ²⁹honey, butter, sheep, and cheese of the herd, for David and for the people who were with him to eat; for they said, “The people are hungry, weary, and thirsty in the wilderness.”
