2 Kings 3:4

¹³The man grew great, and grew more and more until he became very great. ¹⁴He had possessions of flocks, possessions of herds, and a great household. The Philistines envied him.

²He defeated Moab, and measured them with the line, making them to lie down on the ground; and he measured two lines to put to death, and one full line to keep alive. The Moabites became servants to David, and brought tribute.

⁹Moab is my wash pot. I will toss my sandal on Edom. I will shout over Philistia.” ¹⁰Who will bring me into the fortified city? Who will lead me to Edom?

³His possessions also were seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen, five hundred female donkeys, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the children of the east.

²He defeated Moab; and the Moabites became servants to David and brought tribute.

⁸Moab is my wash basin. I will throw my sandal on Edom. I shout in triumph over Philistia.”

¹Send the lambs for the ruler of the land from Selah to the wilderness, to the mountain of the daughter of Zion. ²For it will be that as wandering birds, as a scattered nest, so will the daughters of Moab be at the fords of the Arnon.

¹⁰He built towers in the wilderness, and dug out many cisterns, for he had much livestock, both in the lowlands and in the plains. He had farmers and vineyard keepers in the mountains and in the fruitful fields, for he loved farming.

²Abram was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold.

¹²So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, one thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand female donkeys.
