2 Kings 22:7

¹⁵Moreover they didn’t demand an accounting from the men into whose hand they delivered the money to give to those who did the work; for they dealt faithfully.

²Here, moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found faithful.

²⁰We are avoiding this, that any man should blame us concerning this abundance which is administered by us. ²¹Having regard for honorable things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.

²⁰A faithful man is rich with blessings; but one who is eager to be rich will not go unpunished.

¹⁰He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much. He who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much. ¹¹If therefore you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? ¹²If you have not been faithful in that which is another’s, who will give you that which is your own?

²I put my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the governor of the fortress, in charge of Jerusalem; for he was a faithful man and feared God above many.

¹⁴When they had finished, they brought the rest of the money before the king and Jehoiada, from which were made vessels for the LORD’s house, even vessels with which to minister and to offer, including spoons and vessels of gold and silver. They offered burnt offerings in the LORD’s house continually all the days of Jehoiada.

⁵Beloved, you do a faithful work in whatever you accomplish for those who are brothers and strangers.

⁵They spoke to Moses, saying, “The people have brought much more than enough for the service of the work which the LORD commanded to make.”

⁶Moses gave a commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, “Let neither man nor woman make anything else for the offering for the sanctuary.” So the people were restrained from bringing.

²The things which you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit the same things to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.
