2 Chronicles 30:2

¹⁰“Say to the children of Israel, ‘If any man of you or of your generations is unclean by reason of a dead body, or is on a journey far away, he shall still keep the Passover to the LORD. ¹¹In the second month, on the fourteenth day at evening they shall keep it; they shall eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.

²²Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established.

¹⁴Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory.

¹³Many people assembled at Jerusalem to keep the feast of unleavened bread in the second month, a very great assembly.

¹⁵Then they killed the Passover on the fourteenth day of the second month. The priests and the Levites were ashamed, and sanctified themselves, and brought burnt offerings into the LORD’s house.

¹David consulted with the captains of thousands and of hundreds, even with every leader. ²David said to all the assembly of Israel, “If it seems good to you, and if it is of the LORD our God, let’s send word everywhere to our brothers who are left in all the land of Israel, with whom the priests and Levites are in their cities that have pasture lands, that they may gather themselves to us. ³Also, let’s bring the ark of our God back to us again, for we didn’t seek it in the days of Saul.”

¹³Better is a poor and wise youth than an old and foolish king who doesn’t know how to receive admonition any more.
