2 Chronicles 13:5

¹⁹All the wave offerings of the holy things which the children of Israel offer to the LORD, I have given you and your sons and your daughters with you, as a portion forever. It is a covenant of salt forever before the LORD to you and to your offspring with you.”

¹³Every offering of your meal offering you shall season with salt. You shall not allow the salt of the covenant of your God ^[+] to be lacking from your meal offering. With all your offerings you shall offer salt.

⁴⁹For everyone will be salted with fire, and every sacrifice will be seasoned with salt. ⁵⁰Salt is good, but if the salt has lost its saltiness, with what will you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with one another.”

¹²When your days are fulfilled and you sleep with your fathers, I will set up your offspring after you, who will proceed out of your body, and I will establish his kingdom. ¹³He will build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. ¹⁴I will be his father, and he will be my son. If he commits iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men and with the stripes of the children of men; ¹⁵but my loving kindness will not depart from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before you. ¹⁶Your house and your kingdom will be made sure forever before you. Your throne will be established forever.”’”

³¹Behold, you will conceive in your womb and give birth to a son, and shall name him ‘Jesus.’ ³²He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, ³³and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever. There will be no end to his Kingdom.”

²⁰The LORD has established his word that he spoke; for I have risen up in the place of David my father, and I sit on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised, and have built the house for the name of the LORD, the God of Israel.

¹⁹Then you spoke in vision to your saints, and said, “I have given strength to the warrior. I have exalted a young man from the people. ²⁰I have found David, my servant. I have anointed him with my holy oil, ²¹with whom my hand shall be established. My arm will also strengthen him. ²²No enemy will tax him. No wicked man will oppress him. ²³I will beat down his adversaries before him, and strike those who hate him. ²⁴But my faithfulness and my loving kindness will be with him. In my name, his horn will be exalted. ²⁵I will set his hand also on the sea, and his right hand on the rivers. ²⁶He will call to me, ‘You are my Father, my God, and the rock of my salvation!’ ²⁷I will also appoint him my firstborn, the highest of the kings of the earth. ²⁸I will keep my loving kindness for him forever more. My covenant will stand firm with him. ²⁹I will also make his offspring endure forever, and his throne as the days of heaven. ³⁰If his children forsake my law, and don’t walk in my ordinances; ³¹if they break my statutes, and don’t keep my commandments; ³²then I will punish their sin with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes. ³³But I will not completely take my loving kindness from him, nor allow my faithfulness to fail. ³⁴I will not break my covenant, nor alter what my lips have uttered. ³⁵Once I have sworn by my holiness, I will not lie to David. ³⁶His offspring will endure forever, his throne like the sun before me. ³⁷It will be established forever like the moon, the faithful witness in the sky.” Selah.

²¹then my covenant could also be broken with David my servant, that he won’t have a son to reign on his throne; and with the Levitical priests, my ministers. ²²As the army of the sky can’t be counted, and the sand of the sea can’t be measured, so I will multiply the offspring of David my servant and the Levites who minister to me.’”

¹¹It will happen, when your days are fulfilled that you must go to be with your fathers, that I will set up your offspring after you, who will be of your sons; and I will establish his kingdom.

¹⁴but I will settle him in my house and in my kingdom forever. His throne will be established forever.”’”
