2 Chronicles 11:16

⁹He gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and those who lived with them out of Ephraim, Manasseh, and Simeon; for they came to him out of Israel in abundance when they saw that the LORD his God was with him.

³Samuel spoke to all the house of Israel, saying, “If you are returning to the LORD with all your heart, then put away the foreign gods and the Ashtaroth from among you, and direct your hearts to the LORD, and serve him only; and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.” ⁴Then the children of Israel removed the Baals and the Ashtaroth, and served the LORD only.

⁸They feed on the sin of my people, and set their heart on their iniquity.

⁴⁶He said to them, “Set your heart to all the words which I testify to you today, which you shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this law.

²³who, when he had come, and had seen the grace of God, was glad. He exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they should remain near to the Lord.

⁵But to the place which the LORD your God shall choose out of all your tribes, to put his name there, you shall seek his habitation, and you shall come there. ⁶You shall bring your burnt offerings, your sacrifices, your tithes, the wave offering of your hand, your vows, your free will offerings, and the firstborn of your herd and of your flock there.

¹Then David said, “This is the house of the LORD God, and this is the altar of burnt offering for Israel.”

¹¹Nevertheless some men of Asher, Manasseh, and Zebulun humbled themselves and came to Jerusalem.

¹⁴If he set his heart on himself, if he gathered to himself his spirit and his breath,

⁵Blessed are those whose strength is in you, who have set their hearts on a pilgrimage. ⁶Passing through the valley of Weeping, they make it a place of springs. Yes, the autumn rain covers it with blessings. ⁷They go from strength to strength. Every one of them appears before God in Zion.
