1 Timothy 4:4

²⁰Don’t overthrow God’s work for food’s sake. All things indeed are clean, however it is evil for that man who creates a stumbling block by eating.

²⁵Whatever is sold in the butcher shop, eat, asking no question for the sake of conscience,

¹⁴I know and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean of itself; except that to him who considers anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean.

²³“All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are profitable. “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things build up.

²⁵But concerning the Gentiles who believe, we have written our decision that they should observe no such thing, except that they should keep themselves from food offered to idols, from blood, from strangled things, and from sexual immorality.”

⁷I also heard a voice saying to me, ‘Rise, Peter, kill and eat!’ ⁸But I said, ‘Not so, Lord, for nothing unholy or unclean has ever entered into my mouth.’ ⁹But a voice answered me the second time out of heaven, ‘What God has cleansed, don’t you call unclean.’

³¹God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. There was evening and there was morning, a sixth day.

²⁰but that we write to them that they abstain from the pollution of idols, from sexual immorality, from what is strangled, and from blood. ²¹For Moses from generations of old has in every city those who preach him, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath.”

³forbidding marriage and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.

⁴The Rock: his work is perfect, for all his ways are just. A God of faithfulness who does no wrong, just and right is he.
