1 Thessalonians 4:15

⁵¹Behold,^[+] I tell you a mystery. We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, ⁵²in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed. ⁵³For this perishable body must become imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality.

¹⁴knowing that he who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus, and will present us with you.

¹⁹For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Isn’t it even you, before our Lord Jesus^[+] at his coming?

¹⁷For it was said to me by the LORD’s word, ‘You shall eat no bread or drink water there, and don’t turn again to go by the way that you came.’”

¹⁸He said to him, “I also am a prophet as you are; and an angel spoke to me by the LORD’s word, saying, ‘Bring him back with you into your house, that he may eat bread and drink water.’” He lied to him.

¹³But to you, LORD, I have cried. In the morning, my prayer comes before you.

³⁵A certain man of the sons of the prophets said to his fellow by the LORD’s word, “Please strike me!” The man refused to strike him.

¹Behold, a man of God came out of Judah by the LORD’s word to Bethel; and Jeroboam was standing by the altar to burn incense.

²⁵He said, “Yes.” When he came into the house, Jesus anticipated him, saying, “What do you think, Simon? From whom do the kings of the earth receive toll or tribute? From their children, or from strangers?”

²²but came back, and have eaten bread and drank water in the place of which he said to you, “Eat no bread, and drink no water,” your body will not come to the tomb of your fathers.’”

¹⁴⁷I rise before dawn and cry for help. I put my hope in your words. ¹⁴⁸My eyes stay open through the night watches, that I might meditate on your word.
