1 Samuel 27:6

²⁸in Ziklag, in Meconah and in its towns,

³¹Ziklag, Madmannah, Sansannah,

¹Now these are those who came to David to Ziklag while he was a fugitive from Saul the son of Kish. They were among the mighty men, his helpers in war.

⁵Ziklag, Beth Marcaboth, Hazar Susah,

¹⁴We made a raid on the South of the Cherethites, and on that which belongs to Judah, and on the South of Caleb; and we burned Ziklag with fire.”

⁵for he put his life in his hand and struck the Philistine, and the LORD worked a great victory for all Israel. You saw it and rejoiced. Why then will you sin against innocent blood, to kill David without a cause?”

²⁰As he went to Ziklag, some from Manasseh joined him: Adnah, Jozabad, Jediael, Michael, Jozabad, Elihu, and Zillethai, captains of thousands who were of Manasseh.

¹After the death of Saul, when David had returned from the slaughter of the Amalekites, and David had stayed two days in Ziklag,

¹When David and his men had come to Ziklag on the third day, the Amalekites had made a raid on the South and on Ziklag, and had struck Ziklag and burned it with fire,

³⁰at Bethuel, at Hormah, at Ziklag,
