1 Samuel 15:15

²¹But the people took of the plunder, sheep and cattle, the best of the devoted things, to sacrifice to the LORD your God in Gilgal.”

⁹But Saul and the people spared Agag and the best of the sheep, of the cattle, of the fat calves, of the lambs, and all that was good, and were not willing to utterly destroy them; but everything that was vile and refuse, that they destroyed utterly.

¹²The man said, “The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me fruit from the tree, and I ate it.”

¹³The LORD God said to the woman, “What have you done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”

²²Aaron said, “Don’t let the anger of my lord grow hot. You know the people, that they are set on evil. ²³For they said to me, ‘Make us gods, which shall go before us. As for this Moses, the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we don’t know what has become of him.’

³³if like Adam I have covered my transgressions, by hiding my iniquity in my heart,

⁸He sent them to Bethlehem, and said, “Go and search diligently for the young child. When you have found him, bring me word, so that I also may come and worship him.”

²⁹But he, desiring to justify himself, asked Jesus, “Who is my neighbor?”

¹³He who conceals his sins doesn’t prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy.
