1 Peter 5:9

⁷Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

²²strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that through many afflictions we must enter into God’s Kingdom.

¹¹Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. ¹²For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. ¹³Therefore put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

²¹For you were called to this, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving you^[+] an example, that you should follow his steps,

¹³No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

¹⁶above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one.

¹²Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.

¹²Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you confessed the good confession in the sight of many witnesses.

³³who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked out righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,

¹⁴But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. “Don’t fear what they fear, neither be troubled.”
