1 John 2:1

⁵For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,

³⁴Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, yes rather, who was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.

⁶Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

⁸If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. ⁹If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. ¹⁰If we say that we haven’t sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

²⁴But he, because he lives forever, has his priesthood unchangeable. ²⁵Therefore he is also able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, seeing that he lives forever to make intercession for them.

²⁶For such a high priest was fitting for us: holy, guiltless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

¹¹For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, ¹²instructing us to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we would live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age; ¹³looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,

²¹For him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

⁴You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world.

¹⁸My little children, let’s not love in word only, or with the tongue only, but in deed and truth.

²⁸Now, little children, remain in him, that when he appears, we may have boldness and not be ashamed before him at his coming. ²⁹If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness has been born of him.
