1 Corinthians 7:22

WEB

22For he who was called in the Lord being a bondservant is the Lords free man. Likewise he who was called being free is Christs bondservant.

KJV

22For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord’s freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ’s servant.

BSB

22For he who was a slave when he was called by the Lord is the Lords freedman. Conversely, he who was a free man when he was called is Christs slave.

FBV

22If you were a slave when the Lord called you, you are now free, working for the Lord. In the same way if you were called when you were free, you are now Christ's slave!

18Being made free from sin, you became bondservants of righteousness.

19I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh; for as you presented your members as servants to uncleanness and to wickedness upon wickedness, even so now present your members as servants to righteousness for sanctification. 20For when you were servants of sin, you were free from righteousness. 21What fruit then did you have at that time in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. 22But now, being made free from sin and having become servants of God, you have your fruit of sanctification and the result of eternal life.
