1 Corinthians 6:7

¹⁷Repay no one evil for evil. Respect what is honorable in the sight of all men. ¹⁸If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. ¹⁹Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, “Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.”

²²Don’t say, “I will pay back evil.” Wait for the LORD, and he will save you.

³⁹But I tell you, don’t resist him who is evil; but whoever strikes you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also. ⁴⁰If anyone sues you to take away your coat, let him have your cloak also. ⁴¹Whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two.

⁹not rendering evil for evil or insult for insult; but instead blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.

¹⁹For it is commendable if someone endures pain, suffering unjustly, because of conscience toward God. ²⁰For what glory is it if, when you sin, you patiently endure beating? But if when you do well, you patiently endure suffering, this is commendable with God. ²¹For you were called to this, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving you^[+] an example, that you should follow his steps, ²²who didn’t sin, “neither was deceit found in his mouth.”²³When he was cursed, he didn’t curse back. When he suffered, he didn’t threaten, but committed himself to him who judges righteously.

¹Where do wars and fightings among you come from? Don’t they come from your pleasures that war in your members? ²You lust, and don’t have. You murder and covet, and can’t obtain. You fight and make war. You don’t have, because you don’t ask. ³You ask, and don’t receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures.

¹⁵See that no one returns evil for evil to anyone, but always follow after that which is good for one another and for all.

²⁹To him who strikes you on the cheek, offer also the other; and from him who takes away your cloak, don’t withhold your coat also.

⁸that he may guard the paths of justice, and preserve the way of his saints. ⁹Then you will understand righteousness and justice, equity and every good path. ¹⁰For wisdom will enter into your heart. Knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.

²Their heart is divided. Now they will be found guilty. He will demolish their altars. He will destroy their sacred stones.
