1 Chronicles 21:3

¹¹May the LORD, the God of your fathers, make you a thousand times as many as you are and bless you, as he has promised you!

⁹Then Abimelech called Abraham, and said to him, “What have you done to us? How have I sinned against you, that you have brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? You have done deeds to me that ought not to be done!”

¹³Be courageous, and let’s be strong for our people and for the cities of our God. May the LORD do that which seems good to him.”

²⁴No, my sons; for it is not a good report that I hear! You make the LORD’s people disobey.

¹⁵You have increased the nation, O LORD. You have increased the nation! You are glorified! You have enlarged all the borders of the land.

⁹For when they went up to the valley of Eshcol, and saw the land, they discouraged the heart of the children of Israel, that they should not go into the land which the LORD had given them. ¹⁰The LORD’s anger burned in that day, and he swore, saying,

¹⁹Your offspring also would have been as the sand and the descendants of your body like its grains. His name would not be cut off nor destroyed from before me.”

²¹Moses said to Aaron, “What did these people do to you, that you have brought a great sin on them?”

²⁸In the multitude of people is the king’s glory, but in the lack of people is the destruction of the prince.

¹⁶He will give Israel up because of the sins of Jeroboam, which he has sinned, and with which he has made Israel to sin.”
