1 Chronicles 16:9

¹⁶Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord.

^13[+] Is any among you suffering? Let him pray. Is any cheerful? Let him sing praises.

³⁰When they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

¹Sing to the LORD a new song, for he has done marvelous things! His right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him. ²The LORD has made known his salvation. He has openly shown his righteousness in the sight of the nations. ³He has remembered his loving kindness and his faithfulness toward the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. ⁴Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth! Burst out and sing for joy, yes, sing praises!

¹Sing to the LORD a new song! Sing to the LORD, all the earth. ²Sing to the LORD! Bless his name! Proclaim his salvation from day to day! ³Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples.

¹Oh come, let’s sing to the LORD. Let’s shout aloud to the rock of our salvation! ²Let’s come before his presence with thanksgiving. Let’s extol him with songs!

¹⁰I have not hidden your righteousness within my heart. I have declared your faithfulness and your salvation. I have not concealed your loving kindness and your truth from the great assembly.

¹⁷God, you have taught me from my youth. Until now, I have declared your wondrous works.

¹⁹speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs; singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

⁴One generation will commend your works to another, and will declare your mighty acts. ⁵I will meditate on the glorious majesty of your honor, on your wondrous works. ⁶Men will speak of the might of your awesome acts. I will declare your greatness.
