1 Chronicles 16:11

⁸When you said, “Seek my face,” my heart said to you, “I will seek your face, LORD.” ⁹Don’t hide your face from me. Don’t put your servant away in anger. You have been my help. Don’t abandon me, neither forsake me, God of my salvation.

²before the appointed time when the day passes as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD comes on you, before the day of the LORD’s anger comes on you. ³Seek the LORD, all you humble of the land, who have kept his ordinances. Seek righteousness. Seek humility. It may be that you will be hidden in the day of the LORD’s anger.

³⁵You are awesome, God, in your sanctuaries. The God of Israel gives strength and power to his people. Praise be to God!

⁶This is the generation of those who seek Him, who seek your face—even Jacob. Selah.

¹May God be merciful to us, bless us, and cause his face to shine on us. Selah.

⁶Many say, “Who will show us any good?” LORD, let the light of your face shine on us.

⁶Seek the LORD, and you will live, lest he break out like fire in the house of Joseph, and it devour, and there be no one to quench it in Bethel.

⁴¹“Now therefore arise, LORD God, into your resting place, you, and the ark of your strength. Let your priests, LORD God, be clothed with salvation, and let your saints rejoice in goodness.

⁶¹and delivered his strength into captivity, his glory into the adversary’s hand.
