1 Chronicles 14:2

⁷Water shall flow from his buckets. His seed shall be in many waters. His king shall be higher than Agag. His kingdom shall be exalted.

²⁰I have found David, my servant. I have anointed him with my holy oil, ²¹with whom my hand shall be established. My arm will also strengthen him. ²²No enemy will tax him. No wicked man will oppress him. ²³I will beat down his adversaries before him, and strike those who hate him. ²⁴But my faithfulness and my loving kindness will be with him. In my name, his horn will be exalted. ²⁵I will set his hand also on the sea, and his right hand on the rivers. ²⁶He will call to me, ‘You are my Father, my God, and the rock of my salvation!’ ²⁷I will also appoint him my firstborn, the highest of the kings of the earth. ²⁸I will keep my loving kindness for him forever more. My covenant will stand firm with him. ²⁹I will also make his offspring endure forever, and his throne as the days of heaven. ³⁰If his children forsake my law, and don’t walk in my ordinances; ³¹if they break my statutes, and don’t keep my commandments; ³²then I will punish their sin with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes. ³³But I will not completely take my loving kindness from him, nor allow my faithfulness to fail. ³⁴I will not break my covenant, nor alter what my lips have uttered. ³⁵Once I have sworn by my holiness, I will not lie to David. ³⁶His offspring will endure forever, his throne like the sun before me. ³⁷It will be established forever like the moon, the faithful witness in the sky.” Selah.

¹⁴For if you remain silent now, then relief and deliverance will come to the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Who knows if you haven’t come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”

³⁰But as for me, this secret is not revealed to me for any wisdom that I have more than any living, but to the intent that the interpretation may be made known to the king, and that you may know the thoughts of your heart.

¹¹Then Huram the king of Tyre answered in writing, which he sent to Solomon, “Because the LORD loves his people, he has made you king over them.”

¹⁶Your house and your kingdom will be made sure forever before you. Your throne will be established forever.”’”

⁹Blessed is the LORD your God, who delighted in you, to set you on the throne of Israel. Because the LORD loved Israel forever, therefore he made you king, to do justice and righteousness.”

²⁵I will turn my hand on you, thoroughly purge away your dross, and will take away all your tin.^26[+] I will restore your judges as at the first, and your counselors as at the beginning. Afterward you shall be called ‘The city of righteousness, a faithful town.’ ²⁷Zion shall be redeemed with justice, and her converts with righteousness.

¹⁷This was a small thing in your eyes, O God, but you have spoken of your servant’s house for a great while to come, and have respected me according to the standard of a man of high degree, LORD God.

⁸Now therefore tell my servant David this: ‘The LORD of Armies says, “I took you from the sheep pen, from following the sheep, to be prince over my people, over Israel.
